Manual Balancing Valves
Easy service

Easy service

Although the main function of a balancing valve is to balance the installation, they also have other functions. Often they are used as shut-off valve to isolate a part of the installation for service. Many balancing valve have a drain cock that can be used to drain the isolated part of the installation.
The LENO™ MSV-BD improves even on those simple functions.
Easy Shut-off
The LENO™ MSV-BD contains 2 valves, a balancing valve and a ball valve. When the handle is pressed down to lock the setting the MSV-BD transforms into a ball valve. That means that with just a quarter turn of the handle you close the valve and it's 100% leakage free.
The ball valve is completely independent of the setting mechanism (see images below) so when the valve is opened again you return it to the exact same position as before closing the valve. For convenience there is an indication on the valve that shows if the valve is open or closed: When the valve is closed a red indicator covers the setting.

The LENO™ can be drained from both sidesEasy draining
Often balancing valves have a drain cock because mounting a separate drain costs time and money. The LENO™ MSV-BD has an integrated drain tap with a twist. The drain is mounted directly under the measuring nipples and with the measuring nipples you can open and close the draining function. This has the additional benefit that you can choose from which side of the valve you want to drain, either the riser-side or the installation-side, it's your choice.
